“Moving our communities to a position where sex education is a
positive (normal) part of a complete high school education instead of
something to be ‘ashamed’ of should be a primary goal, shouldn’t it?”

--Counselor from La Conner, WA

Educators, counselors, sexuality educators, health care providers, and others who work directly with youth, often need accurate information about the needs of young people and about the issues and barriers youth face.

Educators play a crucial role in helping young people develop life skills to get the information and services they need to make healthy life decisions.

The Healthy Youth Alliance has been working with a number of agencies and organizations to participate in and provide training to teachers, school districts, school administrators, service providers, and community members.
